REI Go Playlist [mp3]

Just in time for Winter... outdoorsy storefront REI has put together its own custom album available for free download. Called the REI Go Playlist, the album includes ten MP3 tracks from some buzz worthy bands -- a themed playlist perfect for your snowy escapades. Each of the tracks is "presented" by an outdoors-gear brand (carried at REI), so you can get info on labels like North Face and K2 while you're browsing.

You can also sample each track online before deciding which ones to download, and grab desktop wallpapers featuring each band's album art while you're at it. (Each track has the album artwork embedded.) Or you can watch snowscape music videos for each song. Get ready to shred, bro!

Check the lineup:

  1. Robbers on High Street - Training the Tricks
  2. Au Revoir Simone - Fallen Snow (Redux)
  3. The Apples in Stereo - (Baby It's) So Cold
  4. Saxon Shore - Bar Clearing Good Times
  5. Persephone's Bees - We've Just Begun
  6. Eagles of Death Metal - Now I'm a Fool
  7. The Rentals - Colorado
  8. Quadrillion - Dropped
  9. American Analog Set - Ice King
  10. Ohmega Watts - Can You Hear it

NOTE: The web site is flash-based, so you'll have to click around to explore and download the tracks. You may be asked to input a CAPTCHA code to prove your humanity before downloading a track (required); you may also be asked to sign-up for REI email (not required).
